June Yoga Challenge, Week 1 and Nail Files

It's FRIDAY!! The day I have been waiting for ALL WEEK :) I'm working till 12 then peacing out to go to my parent's home and then up north to the beautiful T.C. To say I'm excited is an understatement. But before I leave I have a few link-ups to get to ;)

 June Yoga Challenge!!
The most awesome Courtney organized June Yoga Challenge. At first I was hesitant. I'm awful at classes and have no money to go so I wasn't sure I would even DO yoga. But after a little research I found a lot of videos online and my library has a ton that I can check out! I figured what the hay and went for it.

My Challenge: Do 3 yoga sessions/week

Actual: I did 3! Whoo whoo :)
  • The first one I did was one I found on Netflix. It's Crunch Candlelight Yoga. I liked it because it was very calming and soothing. The instructor was easy to follow and the motion of the moves was easy to understand. Great for a 1st time.
  • The 2nd one I wanted to challenge myself a bit more. After reading Courtney's review of Jillian Michaels I thought I'd give it a try. I did level 1 and phew was it hard! It was a workout within itself and I was SORE the next day!
  • The 3rd video I did came from Do Yoga With Me. I love this website because you can choose your difficulty, length, style and teacher and they give you a ton of free "classes". I did the beginner's Yoga for Leg Strength and really enjoyed it. I'm lucky to have a Wii so I could watch it online through that but if you have to watch it on your computer it might be a little difficult. I highly recommend the site though!
So overall I've had good experiences. I definitely love the stretching but haven't seen huge differences yet. I do feel like it calms me down and lets me check out mentally for a little bit. Next week I'm hoping to do Jillian 2x at least and possibly try a running yoga class that a local fitness store offers. We'll see :)

 The Nail Files
I love linking up with Vicki and Tara for the nail files because I love to see all the fun colors people are using! This week I was able to get a mani/pedi because I had a groupon!

I opted for the spa pedi and shellac mani. I'm excited to see how long my mani will last! I wanted fun, summery, pinks so on my toes I have OPI That's Hot!Pink and on my fingers I have CND Hot Pop Pink.

Are you rockin some pretty nails? Link-up and share what your fave colors are :)

Happy Friday!!

  2. I LOVE yoga! I was really into last year and just recently, in the past month, have pushed myself to start going again. I always used to kinda of laugh when people talked about how it felt so good/was calming/relaxing/blah, blah....but I'm a now a FIRM believer in it :) It's tougher than it looks but SO worth it Good luck with your challenge! I may have to join in too! OH and I'm loving your nails! I love the shellac :)
