Sad Sad Day (not really but it'll get your attention!)

It's a sad day for me

My computer charger died last week.

I spent the WHOLE WEEKEND without a computer ( it really wasn't that bad)

Now I have no computer till At least august 1st :(

I'm doing this from my crappy blackberry so there are no pictures

I'm sorry for this incredibly lame blog!!

P.S. If you have a Mac charger and want to donate it to a broke college student please send it to me!!

What To Do When You Get Your Hair Done...

Since I'm not babysitting this week I've had my days free. I've desperately needed to get my hair done and thought today was the perfect day. I'm very lucky because my sister is a student at Douglas J Aveda Institute and it's a mere 10 min away from me. She does a great job, we get quality time together and I get a wicked discount.

I've been here since 9 am. It's now 12 and she's still not done highlighting my hair. So what do I do while I'm sitting here? a little photo shoot!!

Oats in a jar for breakfast

Sister time!!

Wow I could transmit satellite signals with all this foil!

I get 2 girls helping me!! Oh and I can totally touch my tongue to my nose :)

I love my sister till death and she never complains when I ask for a full highlight that I want super tiny and have really thick hair.

If you're ever in the area check out her and/or Douglas J companies--They are amazing :)

Who I Am Wednesday

Welcome to this week's edition of Who I Am Wednesday. This isn't going to be a cheerful or funny one. It probably won't make you smile and is a downer. If you don't feel like reading I don't blame you but maybe it'll help.

This week's edition is about change. I HATE change. I don't deal with it well. My mother always says to say the Serenity Prayer.
This past week I've been saying it daily. I'm going through a lot of changes lately. Some good, some bad. There have been changes with my body that I've had to visit the doctor about. There have been changes with my roommates and my relationships with them. There have been changes with friendships. I accept that change is a part of life but the changes that are happening now I'm not liking. Nope, not liking any of them other than I'm realizing who is really important in my life.

So basically I'm not feeling like myself, I'm not liking the people I'm around, and I'm in desperate need of my real family (2 weeks until my brother comes to visit, 1 month till the sister is here!!) and my church family. Thankfully I have camp in 1 week where I get to be surrounded by ALL my fav church people and some of my best friends.

I'm sorry for the downer post, hopefully I'll feel back to normal soon.

Who I Am Wednesday!

Hello All!!! Here in Michigan it's B-E-A-Utiful weather, I hope you are all enjoying it!!! For this week's Who I Am Wednesday: I am a lunchable lover :)

As a kid I always loved lunchables but they were so unhealthy and expensive back when that my Mom never let me get them. Thankfully Oscar Mayer jumped on the healthy train and created these little beauties

Yep for 8 crackers, 8 pieces of cheese, 4 pieces of chicken and 4 pieces of turkey & a chocolate it's only 340 calories!!

Now when it comes to eating these I am very pecilular. I have to put the meat on the cracker and cheese on half and then fold the other half of the meat over the cheese. I also eat the order they come in like the chicken and swiss cheese with the turkey and cheddar cheese.

After my amazing lunchable I was craving something sweet and found these in my backpack. Let me tell you... HEAVEN!!! Chocolate, caramel and krispies all for 120 calories? Perfection!!!!

And that is Who I Am. A lunchable lover along with chocolate and caramel. Please do this on your blog I love to read all about you, in a non-stalkerish way of course!

My Fabulous Fourth!!

**Warning: Picture heavy post!!***

Happy belated 4th of July!! I hope yours was as great as mine! I woke up nice and early and got in a workout and breakfast of dates with White Wonderful Peanut Butter

After a lazy morning I made my way to my parent's house (Portland, Mi) to meet my Mom and sister to watch the parade.

It started with my Dad driving the #1 car and leading the parade.

Then came the local clown. Seriously, he participates in every event dressed like this, riding his unicycle, and juggling :)

He was followed by lots of fire trucks

Towing trucks

And it wouldn't be a small town parade without the tractors!

Add in some old, classic cars

And our 20 person High School Band

And that is our parade!!!

After the parade we had some tasty (and low-cal!) margaritas

And cheeseburgers, beans, and potato salad! (My plate looked similar to this)

I hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing 4th!!!

Wretched Working Weekend

I love word playing :)

So this past weekend I had to work, work, work! This made me kind of sad because I usually don't have to work weekends AND EVERYONE was up at Torch lake and I wish I was there. HOWEVER, it totally worked out in my favor!

(Me on Torch Lake last month)

Saturday morning I woke up and found myself with a scratchy throat, swollen lymphnoids and not being able to swallow. I got up though, did a quick 3 miles, showered and went back to bed for another 3 hours!
(recycled pic, I did not look this happy!)

I decided before work I needed to pick up a few things to get through work and feel better. All my goodies helped but the Emergen-C was a little hard to drink because of the taste :(

Saturday I came home and originally had a huge to do list. Yep all that got done was me sleeping for 16 hours STRAIGHT!!

Sunday I had to work for 10 hours at the library. So I did a lot of this

And watching this show

while making these bracelets. Yea I know you want my awesome friendship bracelet making skills :P

Thankfully I woke up Monday morning feeling great and able to celebrate the 4th!

23 Going On 13

Have you ever seen this movie?

I recently saw it (again) on TBS (love how they replay good movies!). While I was watching the movie I decided I can't I be 23 and go back to 13?

One of my favorite things to do when I was 13 was miniature golfing. I loved going with my friends for a girl's night or on a group date.

Since it was a beautiful day out I decided to take the current boy in my life. He hadn't been to this course before and LOVED it! He even got 3 hole-in-ones!!!

After miniature golf we went home and made a funny video from a random monkey. If you watch you can stop it after 35 seconds... haven't figured out how to shorten music!

The other best part about being 13 is seeing chick-flick movies. I took this pretty girl...

...to see this movie. It was super cute and included all the best elements: romance, friendship, girl power, and cute clothes.

I loved being 13 for a day. It felt nice to do all my favorite things and pass them on the the kids I watch. Hopefully when they're 23 they'll think of this day and want to be 13 again :)
