Meet Trouble AND Sunday Social!

Hi Friends!

Wow, I can't believe it's been a week since I've blogged. Well... actually I can. You see last Sunday I received a text asking if I would be willing to foster a pug. Of course I said yes! Monday night after work I got this little bundle!

Hi! I'm Trouble!

 So now I have an adorable little pug until he gets adopted by a loving family. I love him to pieces however he requires a lot of attention (as all dogs do) and add in a VERY long work week (1 night I was at school for 14 hours!) it's been a little hard to blog. #SorryI'mNotSorry

 The Bible. I try to live my life by it and it always has the best advice for any situation.

 I would like to feel financially in control. I'm in the process of doing it now :)

4. If you could go back and relive any year of your life which year would it be?
 I don't think I would go back to any year. None really stand out to me as being super amazing and I'm really loving where I am now. 

  5. What do you wish people knew about you without you having to tell them?
I've been through alot in my short 24 years. I have experiences that you wouldn't want to imagine and I have a lot more wisdom because of those experiences.

1. What is the name of your blog and how did you come up with it??
 - My previous name was A College Girl's Guide to Life which was great when I was in school. Just this past summer I decided to update the name since I have a "grown up" job now. I started to think of the things I believe in most and realized many of them and people came into my life through Faith and/or Serendipity.

2. What do you love the most about blogging??
-I love meeting all my bloggy friends. It's nice to know that other people are going through the same things I am. There is always someone to talk to and fun, new finds.  

3. What are your 2 favorite posts you've written?
- I really like posts that show my true self so my 2 favorites are Elleisms and Kyle's Bachelorette Party

4. What is something you'd want to tell someone just starting out in blog world?
- I can't say that I'm an expert in this because I'm just starting out as well. I would say don't be afraid to be yourself. Do link-ups if you love them or don't. Don't be afraid to read a lot of blogs and only have a few followers. Do blogging for YOURSELF and NO ONE ELSE :)

5. Biggest blogging learning experience you've had? 
- How close you can become with blog friends. When I put my plea out there for a new design Katie came up with the idea right away and helped me so quickly. I've also learned that you won't agree with a person's ideas but you can still love their blog. 

 6. Give us 3 blogs we NEED to be following that you love.

Sunday Social v. Internet

It's Sunday. Already. Where did Saturday go? This whole past week has kicked my butt and now it's Sunday. Well good thing I get to link-up for Sunday Social!!!

Sunday Social: Throwback Edition

You know what I love about Sundays? I get to sleep in (8am), enjoy a few cups of coffee (with cream!), make myself a nice breakfast, and go to church with friends. It's a perfect Sunday morning.

I was involved in everything. Principal's list all 4 years, student council president, National Honor Society, band (marching, concert, jazz & pep), and I ran track. I also worked in an ice cream shop and was a nanny. 

2. What were your favorite past times?

Growing up in a small town there wasn't a ton to do. I was active in school so I went to all the football games, bowling, and bonfires out in the country.

3. What songs were you obsessed with?  

 Anything N*Sync, backstreet boys, John Mayer, Vitamin C, & of course Britney Spears.

 

4. What fashion statement do you look back on and cringe?

I can honestly say I can't think of anything bad fashion wise. I mostly wore jeans with American Eagle t-shirts. If anything I wasn't fashionable enough!
 

5. Who was your celeb crush?

I had this calendar!

6. What were your favorite tv shows/movies?

A walk to Remember, Step Up, Harry Potter, The Devil Wears Prada, She's the man. TV Shows- Real World, TRL, American Idol and Grey's Anatomny and of course One Tree Hill

 
    

Sunday Social: Foodie Edition!

It's Sunday Social Time! I'm so excited to be linking up with Neely & Ashley again for these awesome posts :)

This Weeks Questions: All about food!!

If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be? This is easy for me to answer, I would do pasta. Not only do I love it but there's so many different ways to eat it and add in veggies.

What's your guilty pleasure/comfort food? Anything with a good amount of carbs. Especially bagels, pizza, pasta and mexican.

What foods do you avoid at all costs? Kale. I can't stand the taste of it. I also don't like chili, too tomato tasting and blech. 

 What meal reminds you of your childhood? My family used to do breakfast for dinner a lot, we also did a lot of casseroles and my Mom make's an amazing Taco casserole.

Share one of your favorite recipes and the story behind it.    

This chicken recipe is from my Aunt Val but everyone in my family loves it. It's super easy and perfect for a chilly winter night.

Aunt Val's Stuffed Crockpot Chicken (Feeds 4)
4 Chicken breasts
1 box of quick stuffing
1/2 bag of rice
1 can of cream of mushroom soup
1 can of southwest cheddar soup
1 can of milk
1 bag of frozen mixed veggies

Put all the ingredients in the slow cooker and put on low for 6 hours. 

You can substitute the soup flavors to your liking but they need to be cream based. 

Sunday Social Week 4

It's Sunday Funday! And it certainly has been for me! I got a great workout in this am, met up with the rents for breakfast and spent the day running errands. Now I'm out enjoying this beautiful weather and will be cheering on Olympic hopeful Jordyn Wieber :)

What is your favorite store to shop at? 

Some may laugh but I love Old Navy & Target. I can always find something and they're reasonably priced. I like J Crew too!

If you could afford anything and everything, which designer brand would you covet? 

J Crew, Lauren Conrad, Ralph Lauren, & Sarah Burton (Alexander McQueen).

Favorite kind of shoes?

I wear a size 3 in kids. Yep in KIDS! Sometimes I can wear a 5 in woman's. It's very hard to find fashionable shoes but this fall I found my favorite pair of boots by Fitzwell. I also love TOMS because I can wear the kids size and get them for $40 ;)

 

Best clothing deal you've ever gotten? (sale or amazing find)

I would have to say a pair of TOMS I found at a garage sale. They had only been worn once and the girl didn't like them. (10 year olds have NO style). I got them for $5.

Style you'd love to try?
I wish I could wear Maxi dresses. They look so comfortable but I'm too short and curvy for them.

Does it have to be Sunday already?! Where did this weekend go... oh wait maybe the 6 hours of work on Saturday killed it...

I love to make mixes of my favorite songs but I also like to listen to music that reflects the water. So if it's sunny and I'm on a back road it's country music, gloomy weather = sad music or mellow, highway= pop/rock/ r & b, something up beat with a good bass.

What song are you embarrassed to admit you love?
Justin Bieber Girlfriend (not many of my friends are fans yet), and boy bands like One Direction, Backstreet Boys, N*Sync, and The Jonas Brothers

Sunday Social Week 2

Happy Sunday All!! Phew did this weekend FLY by... thankfully I get a shopping day with my beautiful Mamma and her cousin (Karen) tomorrow :) But back to today... I'm linking up with the beautiful Neely & Ashley for Sunday Social!

Favorite movie of all time? This is an easy one for me... A Walk to Remember & Because I said so. I think Mandy Moore is a great actress in these and I love the plot lines. Plus the rest of the cast is great in these films. I watch them at least once a week :)

Favorite movie quote? "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."-Ferris Bueller

Best movie to watch for a girls night in? Never Been Kissed & Legally Blonde. Romance & comedy in both of these and can't get any better :)

Best breakup movie? (500) Days of Summer. I adore this movie. Great leading actors, great plot and it truly is a breakup movie.

Favorite celeb eye candy? Channing Tatum. Pure gorgeousness!!

Which movie stars closet would you want to raid? Zooey Deschanel & Sarah Jessica Parker. I love how they are simple, chic and fun. Plus they don't feel it necessary to show every body part!
