Challenge=Failed
So Friday night when I'm all upset about this fight that I didn't have any control over and had no clue it was happening and I'm home alone and it's a freaking blizzard outside guess what I decided to do? I ORDED THIS!!! Yes all (enter humungous amount) of calories in carb goodness. Talk about no self control. NONE!
So not only did I completely over eat and feel sick the next day I also cheated on Eat In Month. Let the disappointment set in.
To top it off I was not productive at all... except for holding this adorable baby girl :) Hmm ok so I had a really productive Sunday because she's the cutest baby. NO LIE :)
Here's to a new week!

Change. Part 2.
A Poem About Change: Maybe it's me Heart racing
Mind pacing
So many changes in motion
New roads that are now open
Which way to turn?
Which way to go?
No answers easily seen
I must carve my own path of green
Struggling to hold on
Trying to hold on
Trying to keep the things I need
Struggling to let go
Giving back the ties that bind me
Who will I be?
How will I know?
Who is that woman at the end of the road?
Maybe, just maybe, it's me.

As of lately I've decided to make some changes and see where they lead me. I'm no longer living for anyone else, only me. I've cut loose some friends and gained some new ones. I've realized that I need to be stronger in my decisions and know that I'm doing what is right for me.
In regards to this blog I'm not going to focus on health and fitness like I originally planned. I'll still mention it and any good recipes I make or come up with but I want to focus on my life. I'm a student teacher, taking graduate classes on Fridays, figuring out family, friends, and love. I'm balancing the life of a college student, working for free, holding down 2 other jobs, and trying to grow up and make some life long decisions. This blog is going to reflect that in so many ways and I'm going to be completely honest (according to my Mother, too honest!)
I hope you'll keep reading because I like to think I'm at least a little interesting ;)
P.S
Right now my days are being consumed by little munchkins called my students. I have TONS of teaching stories so if you want to read those visit my other blog here. I swear it'll be a good time!

Who I Am Wednesday

Welcome to this week's edition of Who I Am Wednesday. This isn't going to be a cheerful or funny one. It probably won't make you smile and is a downer. If you don't feel like reading I don't blame you but maybe it'll help.
This week's edition is about change. I HATE change. I don't deal with it well. My mother always says to say the Serenity Prayer.

This past week I've been saying it daily. I'm going through a lot of changes lately. Some good, some bad. There have been changes with my body that I've had to visit the doctor about. There have been changes with my roommates and my relationships with them. There have been changes with friendships. I accept that change is a part of life but the changes that are happening now I'm not liking. Nope, not liking any of them other than I'm realizing who is really important in my life.
So basically I'm not feeling like myself, I'm not liking the people I'm around, and I'm in desperate need of my real family (2 weeks until my brother comes to visit, 1 month till the sister is here!!) and my church family. Thankfully I have camp in 1 week where I get to be surrounded by ALL my fav church people and some of my best friends.
I'm sorry for the downer post, hopefully I'll feel back to normal soon.

I'm Sorry I didn't post yesterday but I was busy saying goodbye to Christine and working :(

Now to continue with this weeks Who I Am Wednesday, this week's theme is going to celebrate this beautiful lady!
his is Christine, she is amazing. Not only is she beautiful but she is witty, smart, kind, loving and going to be a great teacher! If you don't believe me just check out her blog here.
Christine and I have been friends since my freshman year at State. We lived across the hall in South Case Hall, and have been friends ever since. And now see her off to Las Vegas... Where she has a dream job of teaching 6th grade language arts!

Christine has been such an amazing friend for the last 4 years and I can't wait to hear her wonderful stories about Las Vegas and teaching :)
