Sunday Social

Hey Guys Happy Sunday Social Day!!! This Weeks Questions:

1. What are your favorite things to do on a lazy day? Stay in yoga pants/comfy clothes, read a really good book, and watch t.v/movies. I know I'll be having a lazy day in May when Emily Giffin's new book comes out!

 2. What is your TV guilty pleasure? I don't really have one right now. Life is WAY too busy to watch t.v, but I try not to miss New Girl and Super Fun Night.

3. What is your favorite road trip music? Depends on who I'm with. If it's girlfriends I always go to 90s Pop like Hanson, Backstreet boys, N*Sync, Spice Girls, etc.

4. What are your favorite magazines or books to read by the pool or laying around? I'm not a huge magazine person but I do really like People, Runner's World, and Women's Health. I will read any book at least once but I really like YA books.

5. What is your favorite snack? Cottage cheese mixed with salsa & rice cakes, protein pancakes, and Quest Bars.

A Little about My Blog: Sunday Social

Wow, so it's been a moment since I've blogged, huh? It's due to a lot of different things but mostly just lack of time and lack of inspiration. Good news though! It's coming back to me! I'm getting inspired again and have revamped my routine to include blogging more! Whoot (does anyone say that anymore?)

So what better way to kick of this motivation than to link-up for Sunday Social!
Sunday Social

3. What is the first blog you ever followed? Oh gosh, I don't even remember... Maybe Carrots n' Cake and a Healthy Slice of Life.

4. What is your favorite post you wrote in 2013? Definitely Tales From a Teacher. I love rereading my student stories :)

5. What are your blogging goals for 2014? Blog More! Share more of myself and not so many 'Fluff' Pieces

Sunday Social

Lately Linking-Up has been my jam. I don't know what it is, maybe because they are safe. Maybe because they tend to get me new followers... or maybe it's just because I like the idea behind them. Whichever way you slice it though, I will be linking-up with Neely & Ashley for Sunday Social purely for the fact that it is fun.

What is your ideal way to relax: A cup of hot tea/chocolate or glass of wine and catching up on my favorite shows on a Friday night.

Who do you consider your biggest role model: Definitely my Mom. She has been through so much and has handled it with grace and has always put me before her.

What does your life look like in 3 years? HOPEFULLY married or in a very serious relationship, still teaching & loving it, and possibly owning a home.

If you could go back and change one decision what would it be? To be healthier as a kid and enjoy life more in high school and college. I also wish I would have made & kept better/more friends.

What is your biggest accomplishment in life thus far? Easily graduating from Michigan State University with my B.A in Special Education & moving to Las Vegas and having a full time job that I truly love.

Sunday Social 3 Theme

Happy Sunday Friends! It's been a beat and a half since I've linked up with Neely & Ashley for Sunday Social but since I'm down & out (the flu & bronchitis have gotten to me!) I thought I'd join in the fun :)

This week it's all about 3s

Top 3 Favorite Kinds of Food: Anything breakfast (except scrambled eggs...ick!), Italian & Mexican.

First 3 Things you do in the morning: Hit the snooze button, check social media (email, facebook, twitter), & start the coffee.

Last 3 Things you do at night: Watch a show on Netflix or Hulu, read & bible devotional.

3 TV shows you NEVER miss: Since I don't have a T.V I miss my favorite shows until they become available on Hulu but I always watch Once Upon A Time, Revenge, & The Mindy Project.

3 Places you want to visit: Australia, England/London, & Ireland

3 People you can always count on: Mom & Dad, Elizabeth, Christine

P.S Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live in the 1950s and be a housewife? Well the incredible (and slightly insane) Christine has started a new blog all about this subject. It's witty and full of useful knowledge so you should go check it out right now!

Sunday Social: Thankfulness

I have to say I'm SO HAPPY that Blogger finally got their act together and fixed the issues! I'm back to blogging and it feels so good ;)

I'm linking up with the Sunday Social girls today and they are doing things a little differently. Instead of questions we just say what we are THANKFUL for! After the past few weeks I've been having this is a great post to remind myself just how blessed I am.

 I'm THANKFUL For...
  •  My Family. My parents are my rock, my sister is ALWAYS there for me and my brother has the best sarcastic sense of humor.

  • I'm so lucky for my 2nd families. I miss them OH SO MUCH but being able to talk to them on a weekly basis helps. They have done so much for me in so many ways! We have so many memories and I am so blessed that they welcomed me into their families <3

  •  I have 3 jobs. I teach 3rd grade, tutor, and work at Old Navy. I'm so lucky to have these jobs and love all of them, no matter how stressful & tiring it can get. I am able to support myself and am thankful that my parents raised me to be such a hard worker.
  •  My friends. I don't have a ton but the ones I do have are the best. We are the type where we don't have to talk everyday but when we do it's like we never missed a beat. I'm lucky to have so many different experiences with them from high school to weddings to internships and now teaching together. I can go to them for any kind of advice and know things will work out ok.

  •  I'm incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to move away. I'm so thankful I didn't get "stuck" in my hometown and not experience the world. I've been all over Europe, Jamaica, Aruba, and now living in Las Vegas. I'm proud to say I'm a world traveler and do love traveling.
  • Technology is amazing. Listening to free songs on Pandora, skyping with my family and friends, having the Iphone and all the amazingness that comes with it. It's made my move so much easier and life as well!
  • Bloggy Friends! I've met so many wonderful women through blogging and feel so encouraged when I'm having a bad day. I hope to meet some of you in real life! Jenn & Leslie get your butts out here!

Psalm 95:1-6 - O Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.

Sunday Social-Halloween

Who's ready for the weekend to be over? Definitely not I! Today was relaxing and productive and I don't want it to be over! Here is a glimpse of my Saturday...

Have you linked up with Ashley & Neely for Sunday Social? You should... it's a party!

1. What was your favorite halloween costume as a kid?(pictures??)
Unfortunately I don't have any  pictures but I always enjoyed dressing up as a princess or a bride...

2. If you could go back and dress up as something what would it be?
I think dressing up like Minnie Mouse would always be fun

3. Favorite costume as an adult?(pictures)
I can honestly say I've never dressed up as an adult. I don't really care for Halloween...

4. Favorite Halloween Candy?
As a kid and even now I always loved getting the "fruity" candy. Dots, twizzlers, air heads... anything other than chocolate.

5. Favorite Halloween Memory?
Easily the year I was 13. I didn't go trick-or-treating but I had friends over for dinner, then we watched Halloween movies while our younger siblings went out for candy. Then we got to charge a candy fee for watching the house... it was so much fun.

6. Whats your favorite scary movie?
I don't care for scary movies but I love Nightmare Before Christmas, Hocus Pocus, and Charlie Brown Halloween.

Link up and share your Halloween fun!

Sunday Social: Favorite Books

Hi Peeps! It is 2 A.M, I babysat earlier in the evening and feel asleep. Then when I got home I had a candy apple. With Lots of sprinkles. Now I am too awake! What a better time to write my Sunday Social post!
Candy Apple Goodness!

This Weeks Questions:
1. Favorite childhood book: I Love You Forever, Babysitter's Club & Sweet Valley High

2 . Favorite Book lately: The most recent book I've been reading is City of Ember to my students and shockingly it's really good! Highly recommend it!

3. Book you wish you could live in: Anything by Emily Giffin or the Bride Quartet series by Nora Roberts because they are awesome books with great friends and come on anything by Nora Roberts is going to have a super cute prince charming :)
4. If you could be any character from a book who would it be and why? This one is easy. I would love to be Laurel from Savor the Moment because she gets to work with her best friends, falls in love her her childhood crush, and designs the most amazing baked goods.

5. Favorite Book turned Movie? A Walk to Remember. I cry EVERY TIME!

6. Favorite Magazines: Runner's World, People, Newsweek, and Cosmo for the hilarious, unrealistic stories!

Always believing in Faith & Serendipity,
